After searching for how to videos through youtube and google, we ended up just winging it and doing what we thought would work best.
In the end, our sarongs came out great for it being our first time. It is definitely much harder to create the ombre effect, than the traditional tie dye pattern.
We used the dipping method to create the ombre effect. First, we dipped the majority of the sarong in the dye for 5 seconds, then less fabric for a longer length of time, and so on. We also filled up a spray bottle with ink that helped even out the fade.
This was a very fun activity. We will be creating more custom ombre sarongs in the future. We'll also be creating a "How to" video as well. You can go to your local Michael's or craft store and pick up some cheap tie dye ink and do it yourself. Custom Sarongs provides wholesale white sarongs so you don't have to worry about messing up the first couple times. We can also create OMBRE sarongs for you or a special event. We are able to mix and match different colors and styles. If you'd like to purchase one of these amazing sarongs, visit our sarongs page. All our Ombre sarongs are made to order. We also have Ombre sarongs in Red and Purple.
